Your First Days in NWO

During your first days in Northwestern Ontario you may feel a little overwhelmed as you start to deal with all of the necessary processes. There is a lot you need to do so it is important to make a list of priorities.

After you arrive and find a safe place to stay, it is time to begin the next steps like applying for Canadian identification, opening a bank account and finding a job.

As a newcomer, you will have high hopes and expectations from your new life - be prepared for challenging situations as you adjust to a new culture and society. If you are having trouble along the way, help is always available to you. Northwestern Ontario not only has welcoming communities and people but there are many settlement agencies and services here to assist you in your new home.
