Greenwich Wind Farm - Dorion
The Greenwich Wind Farm, located near Dorion, is a 98.9 MW wind farm that generates enough clean electricity to meet the needs of 34, 000 households annually. The wind farm has been operational since the fall of 2011 and has created new employment and business opportunities from construction through to operation.  Learn more: www.greenwichwindfarm.ca

Solar Projects - Terrace Bay
In 2012, Terrace Bay installed two 10kw solar power systems on Municipal buildings.  The two systems are estimated to generate $10,000.00 to $12,000.00 a year through a 20 year guaranteed contract with the Ontario Power Authority.  The solar system was a part of Terrace Bay’s downtown revitalization program.  The systems are located on top of the Community Centre and the Michael King Hall building.

Generating Station Biomass Conversion - Atikokan
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) has broken ground on the $170-million conversion of Atikokan's Generating Station. This conversion will be one of the largest in North America and will bring employment and economic benefits to Atikokan.  Construction is scheduled to being in the summer of 2013.

Big Thunder Wind Park - Thunder Bay

The Big Thunder Wind Park is an innovative venture proposed to be built on the Nor’Wester Mountain Range in Thunder Bay.  It is a 32-megawatt wind park consisting of 16 turbines and expected to provide significant environmental and economic benefits for the City of Thunder Bay and Municipality of Neebing. Once complete, the wind farm will be capable of generating enough electricity to power 9,000 homes annually.  Project proposal information can be found at: www.bigthunderwindpower.ca
