Northwestern Ontario is known for our beautiful landscape, and most people choose to participate in outdoor activities throughout the year.

Winter: Downhill skiing and snowboarding at Loch Lomond or Mount Baldy, snowshoeing, ice fishing, skating at the Marina (in Thunder Bay) or any of the recreational rinks throughout the city, outdoor or indoor hockey

Summer: Swimming in Lake Superior or any of the smaller surrounding lakes, hiking, walking around the Marina (in Thunder Bay), Summer in the Parks at the Marina (in Thunder Bay), the CLE fair (in Thunder Bay), and more!

People also go to the movies, the mall, grab a drink downtown, and catch some local music. Visit the Foundry and/or Black Pirates Pub in Thunder Bay for some great live music.

Check out some more things to do here  and an events listings here.
